This week, 70-plus people have received a letter from Region Skåne stating that it is their turn to book an appointment for vaccination against covid-19.

- It's a lot of pressure.

The willingness to get vaccinated is great in our municipality, says Kerstin Romberg, doctor and vaccination coordinator at Näset's medical group.

She is the one who coordinates the vaccinations at the two health centers that the medical group runs in Skanör and Höllviken.

One thing that complicates her and her colleagues' planning work is to calculate how many non-residents in the municipality want to get vaccinated.

- Region Skåne must take summer height after Easter because we know that many are moving into their holiday homes already now, says Kerstin Romberg.

She says that those who have been in the municipality for two weeks have the same right as a year-round resident to get vaccinated for free in Vellinge.

Difficult to calculate vaccine

Swedes abroad and foreign citizens over the age of 18 who stay in Skåne "for a period" are entitled to free vaccination against covid-19.

- It is not said exactly how long they will be here but it is more than a few days.

Tourists can not get vaccinated with us, says Per Hagstam, vaccination coordinator in Region Skåne.

He finds it difficult to make a plan for how much extra vaccine health centers in popular holiday resorts should receive.

Jeanette Klemensson, operations manager for the Capio Clinic in Landskrona and Höllviken, says that they are assigned vaccines according to how many are listed at the health center.

Swedes who live abroad but plan to travel to Skåne later this spring or this summer have already started to get in touch.

- I have already received calls from Swedes who want to book an appointment for vaccination when they come home this spring, says Jeanette Klemensson.
