Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - At the weekend in Saxony-Anhalt, rain, then sun and then snow again can be expected.

Friday starts off friendly and largely dry, as a spokesman for the German Weather Service announced on Friday.

Only in the Altmark can there be occasional raindrops.

With a weak south-westerly wind, the temperatures are between 12 and 14 degrees.

On the night of Saturday, the temperatures are between one and four degrees with light rain.

On Saturday during the day it continues with rain and temperatures between eight and ten degrees.

There is particularly much rainfall in the southern Harz.

On the night of Sunday the rain slowly moves northwards.

"Sunday then looks like spring," says the DWD spokesman.

With temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees it remains largely dry from the afternoon onwards.

On Monday the spring temperatures are over and people have to be prepared for temperatures between three to six degrees.

In addition, rain and sleet showers in the lowlands as well as permafrost and fresh snow in the mountain areas are to be expected.
