Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) - A stranger pulled the plug on a refrigerator compartment in a supermarket in Schweinfurt, rendering meat and sausage worth almost 800 euros unusable.

As the police announced on Friday, the stranger pulled two plugs from the supermarket's power supply on Thursday last week.

This interrupted the cooling of the meat and sausage products.

Due to the holidays, the interrupted power supply was only noticed on Saturday.

Meat and sausage products have to be constantly refrigerated before they are sold, as this cold chain was interrupted for almost three days, the goods could no longer be sold, according to the police.
