It is noted that the ambassador was summoned after the words of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In addition, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu criticized the statements of the head of the Italian government.

“We strongly condemn and reject the unacceptable statements of the appointed Italian Prime Minister Draghi about our president who came to power as a result of the elections,” the minister said.

As RIA Novosti reported earlier, Draghi described the Turkish president as a dictator with whom he needs to cooperate.
