Kiel (dpa / lno) - The Greens in Schleswig-Holstein have criticized the cancellation of the federal-state round planned for Monday to deal with the corona pandemic.

The rejection is strange in view of the critical development of the infection process, said the state chairman Steffen Regis on Friday in Kiel.

The federal government had previously announced that there would be no prime ministerial conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) in the coming week.

"The Chancellor and others have announced their reflection and we are now expecting concrete proposals," said Greens head of state Regis.

"At least the emergency brake from an incidence of 100 should be implemented as quickly as possible under federal law, so that it works in all federal states and not just here in Schleswig-Holstein."

On Thursday evening, Prime Minister Daniel Günther questioned the necessity of the federal-state conference originally scheduled for Monday.

"I'm not pushing for such a meeting," said the CDU politician in the ARD "Tagesthemen".

With the Infection Protection Act and the previous resolutions, the entire framework is already in place to successfully combat the corona pandemic in the countries.

"So I do not need any new meetings, but we would implement exactly what we have discussed with each other," said Günther, also with regard to considerations about a nationwide hard lockdown.

Meanwhile, the federal and state governments have agreed to change the Infection Protection Act in an urgent procedure.

In the fight against the pandemic, this is intended to create a nationwide regulation for the procedure in the event of a seven-day incidence of more than 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

This was announced by Vice Government Spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer.
