The Governing Council of the Junta de

Extremadura

has rectified and has decided to maintain the perimeter closure of the autonomous community due to the increase in the incidence of the

coronavirus

.

This has been announced by the Minister of Health,

José María Vergeles,

at a press conference, which has reported that the new order will be published today in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Extremadura and will be effective at the same time.

Extremadura

was scheduled to

lift the perimeter closure today, but the increase in the incidence has led the Governing Council to rectify and maintain the closure imposed during the

San José and Holy Week bridges for

at least 14 days,

until the 23rd of april

.

Vergeles has reported that the situation is "under control", despite increasing the accumulated incidence in Extremadura.

And it is because of that fear that they have decided to rectify the decision made this Thursday to lift the closure and for Extremadura to remain isolated.
