Signal, an encrypted messaging app, announced the testing of its new payments feature within the UK, in another step to attract more users.

The application said in a statement published on its website, that the latest versions of Signal will be released today, which contain performance improvements, a large number of bug fixes, and improvements to the mute settings.

The statement added that the release also includes the "Signal Payment" feature, which enables users to easily send and receive payments that focus on privacy, such as sending or receiving a message.

The application explained that it wants to enjoy this feature for privacy and speed, and works well on mobile devices, as the MobileCoin protocol has been added, which has a special currency called "MOB".

According to the statement, the user will need to link a mobile wallet to the application, and then he can send money to friends and family, receive money from them, track the balance and review the transaction history with a simple interface.

He emphasized Signal's inability to access users' various transaction data, indicating the app's readiness to expand this feature after receiving comments within the United Kingdom.
