In order to further promote telework in rural areas with the spread of the new coronavirus, the government's expert council recommended to the Minister of State for Regional Revitalization Sakamoto to establish a system to commend companies that have achieved results in telework. ..

On the 8th, former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Hiroya Masuda, president of Japan Post Holdings, who chairs a meeting of experts considering the promotion of telework, handed a proposal to the Minister of State for Regional Revitalization Sakamoto.

According to the proposal, it is necessary to take the opportunity of the spread of the new coronavirus infection to further promote efforts to move to rural areas and perform telework without changing jobs.

We are also requesting that we support companies by establishing a system to commend companies that have achieved results through telework.

We also recommend policies to support migration to rural areas and enhance information provision at consultation desks.

Minister Sakamoto said, "As the way of working, living and society itself changes, this proposal will be the starting point. I would like to consider how to reflect it in policies and budgets."
