Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) has confirmed the Free State's interest in the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
Only when the majority of the people have been vaccinated will they be able to return to normal, he said on Thursday when asked in Dresden: "Therefore, we should also use all available vaccines."
Kretschmer thinks it is right for the federal government to take over the negotiations on vaccines.
The prime minister emphasized that the safety of the vaccines and approval by the European Medicines Agency are a basic requirement.
