Braunschweig (dpa / lni) - The verdicts are expected in Braunschweig today in the process of machine detonation in several federal states with a loot of more than one million euros.

The two defendants face long prison sentences.

For the two 32 and 27-year-old men, the public prosecutor has demanded 10 years in prison, as a spokeswoman for the regional court said on Thursday.

The defenders advocated lower sentences.

The duo is charged with a total of 16 acts between November 2018 and March 2020 in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Bavaria, Thuringia, Bremen and Saarland.

The investigators of the Federal Criminal Police Office got on the trail of the men through an exchange of the responsible investigators in the federal states.

The two were arrested in July 2020.

At the beginning of the trial, the 32-year-old defendant made a full confession.
