Munich (dpa / lby) - In the opinion of doctors, all corona vaccines should be available in Bavarian practices in the future.

"Depending on the indication, we can provide our patients with the right vaccine for them," said the President of the Bavarian Medical Association, Gerald Quitterer, on Thursday.

For this, all approved vaccines would have to be available, especially in general practitioners' practices.

The decision as to which vaccine to give is a medical one.

For a few days, doctors in private practice have also been offering vaccinations against the coronavirus across the board.

According to the Bavarian Association of General Practitioners, the vaccine from Astrazeneca was available for the start of vaccination before Easter; in the future, the practices should be supplied with the vaccine from Biontech.

The willingness of the resident doctors to cooperate should not be jeopardized by back and forth with the vaccines that are made available to the practices, demanded Medical President Quitterer.
