Berlin (dpa / lhe) - In Hesse, 1550 new corona infections were registered within 24 hours.
According to the Berlin Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday (as of 3:08 a.m.) there were also 31 other deaths.
A total of 227,581 infections have been detected in Hessen since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of people who died with or from Corona increased to 6,441.
The nationwide incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days, fell a little further to 112.5 according to the RKI.
On Wednesday the value was 119.7.
The highest incidence was reported in Offenbach (236.4), followed by the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district with 192.2.
The value was lowest in the Bergstrasse district (58.1).
