It is in an interview with Expressen that Ebba Busch presents her new report "Gender equality for real".

The purpose is to present the guidelines for a bourgeois feminism in a future right-wing government.

Among other things, the Christian Democrats want a contact ban to be issued more often and that a foot shackle should be a natural link when such is issued.

It must also be possible to extend the contact ban to, for example, apply in several municipalities.

The party also wants to see prison sentences for those who break a contact ban.

Wants to give endangered women pepper spray

In addition, the Christian Democrats propose that threatened women should be offered oc-spray, also called pepper spray, and courses in self-defense.

- It is unfortunately a necessity.

We want to see significantly more police and tougher penalties, but we know that will not be enough.

The law will not always be there, says Ebba Busch to Expressen.

OC spray is illegal today for those who do not have a permit from the police.

It is unclear whether KD wants to change the weapons law.

- If it is possible for the specific group to receive pepper spray without a gun license, that is good.

However, it must be a suitable person, and it is the police who must provide a certain education in each individual case, writes Désirée Pethrus, chairman of the party's gender equality group, to SVT News.

Do not want to talk about abortion

Recently, Dagens Nyheter reviewed KD women's chair Sarah Havneraa's previous involvement in abortion-critical organizations.

However, Ebba Busch does not want the 2020 election to be about the abortion issue.

- We have had the same basic attitude for several decades and I hope that the gender equality policy debate can be about these problems that so many women suffer from, instead of making our intentions suspicious.

SVT's political commentator Mats Knutson says that Ebba Busch wants to be "the banner bearer of bourgeois feminism in the next election campaign".

- Just as her representative Göran Hägglund tried to provoke his political opponents by talking about "the people of reality", Ebba Busch is now talking about a feminism for "women of reality".

"Risking ending up in an abortion debate"

The message is, according to Mats Knutson, that the left should talk about gender pedagogy, menstrual arts and quotas for company boards, while the Christian Democrats should talk about security, working life, maternity care and pensions.

- Whether this will succeed is unclear.

The question is how many voters can be attracted with promises of pepper spray and foot shackles when M and SD compete over who has the toughest criminal policy.

The risk is also a new abortion debate, which is always difficult for the party to handle, says Mats Knutson.

SVT Nyheter is looking for Ebba Busch.
