Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The number of infections with the corona virus within a week per 100,000 inhabitants has continued to decrease in Brandenburg.

After a value of 127 on Tuesday, the seven-day incidence on Wednesday was around 109, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

A week ago the value was 142.6.

Eight districts and the independent cities of Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder) were above the 100 mark. Corona focus in the country remains the district of Elbe-Elster with a seven-day incidence of 175.8.

The district of Uckermark recorded the lowest value with 64.7 cases.

The RKI pointed out, however, that fewer people went to the doctor around the Easter holidays and that the responsible health authorities and state authorities may not have transmitted their data to the RKI every day.

If the seven-day incidence is over 100, the emergency brake applies: The March 8 easing will be withdrawn.

A household can then only meet with one other person, shopping and visits to museums with an appointment are no longer necessary, with the exception of supermarkets, pharmacies and drugstores.

The emergency brake applies for at least 2 weeks, even if a circle falls below the value of 100 for 3 days.

According to the vaccination logistics staff, a total of 469,767 vaccinations were administered.

That is 13,606 more vaccinations than on Tuesday.

In a nationwide comparison, Brandenburg is in the good midfield for first vaccinations, but further behind for second vaccinations.
