“We call on Ukraine and NATO countries to stop the hysterical Russophobic propaganda campaign, stop military preparations and escalation of tension in Donbass and refrain from actions that could lead to destabilization of the situation in eastern Ukraine,” Zakharova said.
According to her, Russia is in favor of resolving the conflict in Donbass exclusively by peaceful means on the basis of the Minsk agreements.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also pointed to the intensification of intelligence activities of foreign states in Ukraine along the borders with Russia and the contact line in Donbass, using aircraft and radio electronic means.
Zakharova stressed that the statements of Kiev and Western countries about "Russia's fault" in the escalation of tensions in Donbass are disinformation and propaganda designed to divert attention from Kiev's own military preparations in Donbass.
Earlier, the secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that Moscow is not planning to intervene in the conflict in southeastern Ukraine, but is closely monitoring the situation.
