“Unfortunately, in accordance with the sanctions imposed by the Ukrainian government against Rossotrudnichestvo, the agency's office building in Kiev will be closed,” RIA Novosti quoted Shevtsov as saying.

According to him, the agency will continue to hold events in Ukraine.

“We do not refuse to hold events on the territory of Ukraine.

The pandemic has taught how to use the online format effectively.

Many cultural events have already been transferred online using different platforms ... ", - said Shevtsov.

He also stressed that Moscow does not intend to terminate the intergovernmental agreement with Kiev on the work of cultural centers.

Earlier it was reported that Zelensky put into effect the decision of the NSDC to impose sanctions on Rossotrudnichestvo, Volga-Dnepr Group of Companies and a number of other companies.

The Association of Russian Diplomats appreciated the restrictions imposed by Kiev.
