Pashinyan called Russian peacekeepers an important security factor in Karabakh

He said this during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Of course, first of all I would like to note that the presence of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh is becoming the most important factor of stability and security in the region,” RIA Novosti quotes the Prime Minister of Armenia.

He noted that in this vein he hopes to discuss with the Russian leader the views on the security architecture in Nagorno-Karabakh, in Armenia and in the region as a whole.

At the meeting, Putin stated the urgency of the problem of normalizing the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
