There is only uncertain information about Alexei Navalny's condition in prison.
Through his lawyers, he has been able to communicate on social media that he has back problems, difficulty supporting a leg and that he has suffered from fever and cough.
- The whole idea, many say, with a penal colony like this is that those who sit there should be weakened and perhaps even broken down to make sure that they can not cause problems in the future, says SVT's Russia correspondent Bert Sundström .
"Sitting in these conditions, sick, not receiving adequate medical care and isolated for another two years will also eat away at the strongest person, as Navalny seems to be," he continues.
It is also unclear what the conditions actually look like in the prison where Navalny is sitting.
But according to information from previous prisoners, the rules are very strict.
For example, it should be forbidden to talk to other prisoners and go with your hands in your pockets.
In a video that has been spread, it is alleged that Navalny is being told that his top shirt button is not buttoned.
