The number of covid patients has increased steadily in recent weeks, and the need for intensive care has consequently increased.
- We have gone from three to four to five to now seven intensive care units that are intended for covid patients, says Södertälje Hospital CEO Cristophe Pedroletti.

Previously, covid patients in need of intensive care were given a place in a special part of the intensive care unit, but now the new places in the operating room are being opened.
The hospital hopes that the new places will be available from tomorrow Thursday.
