Parchim (dpa / mv) - Due to the high number of corona infections, schoolchildren in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district must be prepared for further restrictions at least this Thursday and Friday.

Then visiting schools should be prohibited in principle, as the district announced on Tuesday evening.

Distance lessons are given for all grades in all types of schools - with the exception of the final grades.

However, the final classes, i.e. grades 10 and 12, do not have to come to school, and attendance is no longer required.

Thursday is the first day of school after the Easter break.

The media had previously reported.

The district emphasized that emergency care will be ensured at schools for pupils in the first to sixth grades, and pupils with disabilities and health impairments should continue to be cared for.

How things will go with schools in the district in general from next Monday should be decided on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Education, classes should take place on Thursday and Friday as on the days before the Easter holidays.

Classes one to six as well as the final classes are given face-to-face classes, from class 7 alternate classes.

How it will continue with schools nationwide from next Monday has not yet been clarified.
