Neustadt / Weinstrasse (dpa / lrs) - A drunk man with a blank gun has drawn attention to himself in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse.
The 46-year-old, who was out with his girlfriend on Tuesday evening, was noticed by loud screaming, as the police announced on Wednesday morning.
A passer-by informed the officers that he recognized a firearm in the man's hand.
As it turned out later, the 46-year-old had a blank firing revolver and ammunition with him.
However, he could not produce a small gun license.
A breath alcohol test showed about 3.6 per thousand.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The weapon had been secured.
The public prosecutor's office will be informed, it said.
