Sandhausen (dpa) - The 2nd Bundesliga is threatening more and more a deadline bottleneck in the end of the season.

In addition to the Karlsruher SC team, the SV Sandhausen professional team also went into a 14-day quarantine.

After Ivan Paurevic and Denis Linsmayer, who had already missed the game against Würzburger Kickers (1-0) on Sunday due to positive corona tests, two more players tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.

The Rhein-Neckar health department then ordered a two-week quarantine for the SVS professionals, the club announced on Wednesday - starting last Sunday and ending on April 18.

The SVS therefore applied to the German Football League (DFL) to cancel the games against Greuther Fürth (April 9) and Hamburger SV (April 16).
