The Central Election Commission said that the turnout for re-election by-election in 21 places nationwide, including Seoul and Busan, was 42.9% as of 3 pm.
This is a number including the pre-voting that was conducted on the last 2-3 days.
As of 3pm, the turnout rate is 6.8 percentage points higher than the 36.1% turnout at the time of the April 3 revival in 2019.
The voter turnout for the mayor of Seoul was 45.2%, and the voter for the mayor of Busan was 40.2%.
So far, out of the 12.16 million total voters, more than 5.211,000 have finished voting.
