Berlin / Chemnitz (dpa) - Chemnitz gymnastics trainer Gabriele Frehse has filed a lawsuit against the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) in connection with the allegation that she harassed female athletes.

“That's right,” said Frank Munzer, President of Frehse's home club TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf, when asked by the German Press Agency.

He thus confirmed on Tuesday that the association would be published on the “Gymmedia” Internet portal.

The trainer then filed a lawsuit with the Frankfurt / Main regional court on the same day with the aim of gaining full insight into an investigation report that was presented in January and commissioned by the DTB.

So far, she has only had access to a largely blackened version of the report.

"That is why I sued the DTB today to inspect the comprehensive investigation report," Frehse is quoted in the publication.

The commissioned Frankfurt law firm had found "serious breaches of duty" by Frehse.

Ex-world champion Pauline Schäfer and other gymnasts had accused the trainer of harassing her during training, of administering medication without a doctor's prescription and of not allowing any objection.

Frehse has denied the allegations several times.
