Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The health authorities in Brandenburg reported significantly fewer corona cases within one day at the end of Easter.

The number of new infections was 111, as the Ministry of Health announced in Potsdam on Tuesday.

A week ago there were 317 new cases.

Cottbus reported the most new infections at 24. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), fewer tests are made and reported on the Easter holidays.

In addition, not all health authorities and responsible state authorities transmit the data to the RKI on a daily basis.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week fell in Brandenburg to 127 after just under 135 on Monday and 145 a week ago.

This puts the state in the middle behind Thuringia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Hamburg, Hesse and Bavaria.

The main focus in Brandenburg remains the Elbe-Elster district with a seven-day incidence of 218, the only value over 200 in the state.

The districts of Uckermark and Potsdam-Mittelmark as well as the cities of Brandenburg / Havel and Potsdam have values below 100.

If the seven-day incidence is over 100, the emergency brake applies: The March 8 easing will be withdrawn.

A household can then only meet with one other person, shopping and visits to museums with an appointment are no longer necessary, with the exception of supermarkets, pharmacies and drugstores.

The emergency brake applies for at least 2 weeks, even if a circle falls below the value of 100 for 3 days.

The exit restriction between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. only applied until Tuesday at 5:00 a.m.
