Saudi Arabia: Suspending Iftar, Suhoor, and I'tikaaf during Ramadan

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia announced, on Tuesday, a decision to suspend Iftar, Suhoor and I'tikaaf in mosques during Ramadan.

The ministry’s website published on “Twitter” a directive to the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, with a number of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, which the ministry has taken in coordination with the competent authorities to work with it in the mosques and mosques of the Kingdom during the month of Ramadan 1442-2021 .

The directive also stipulated that all branches of the Ministry in all regions of the Kingdom affirm that mosque employees should suspend the travel of Iftar and Suhur in mosques and mosques, and that this includes Iftar and Suhur inside mosques and mosques, or in their affiliated facilities.

I'tikaaf has been suspended in all mosques and mosques, and the places where the Eid al-Fitr prayer is held in all the festive chapels has been expanded to include mosques and mosques where Friday prayers are held.

The directive concluded by noting that everything related to performing Tarawih prayers and performing the prayers in mosques and mosques will be reported later in a statement issued by the Ministry.
