Mainz (dpa / lrs) - Around 550,000 people from Rhineland-Palatinate between the ages of 60 and 69 can register for a corona vaccination from this Wednesday.

"With the change in the use of Astrazeneca, a larger amount of vaccine is now available for people over 60 years of age," said the Ministry of Health in Mainz on Tuesday.

The first syringes are expected to be given in late April to early May.

The new registrations would have no influence on the allocation of appointments for people over 70 or with previous illnesses in priority group two.

These have priority.

"The order of priority for vaccinations will be maintained in Rhineland-Palatinate."

You can register online at www.impftermin.rlp.de or by calling the vaccination hotline on 0800 57 58 100. Press office
