A person died, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, in Ille-sur-Têt, near Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), in a house fire, indicates the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS ).
The three floors of this house were surrounded by flames when the firefighters arrived.
Three occupants of the house jumped from the first and second floors to escape the blaze.
They were taken care of by the emergency services, and transported to hospital.
An investigation has been opened
A fourth person was found dead in the rubble of the house.
The gendarmerie was on the scene, to carry out the first investigations.
An investigation was opened to try to determine the circumstances which led to this fire.
For now, we do not know the causes.
