Violently cobbled in mid-intervention.

Police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) were attacked by a group of "about thirty people", while they arrested a suspect on a stolen scooter, in the Palmer park in Cenon, on Sunday around 6.30 p.m.

“They were the target of numerous throwing stones and various objects in order to prevent them from recovering the stolen scooter,” assures the Alternative police CFDT union representative, Bruno Vincendon.

A little earlier, the BAC police had spotted a young man, without a helmet, riding a scooter without a license plate.

They managed to stop him a little later as he was walking out of Palmer Park.

And it is by wanting to recover the machine, hidden in the park and which had indeed been stolen, that they were taken to task.

Thirty people would have suddenly appeared, welcoming the three police officers "under a shower of stones, forcing the officials to respond by using the launcher of defense balls", continues the trade unionist.

Reinforcements made it possible to "root out" the police officers targeted, and to arrest two suspects, who were taken into police custody.
