  • In Toulouse, the vaccinodrome needs hundreds of students to ramp up.

  • The jobs offered are flexible and paid.

  • Interns in pharmacy or computer scientists, literary, multilingual, all profiles are welcome.

To vaccinate with all your hands, you need arms.

Without counting computer scientists, polyglots, secretaries.

In Toulouse, the “Great vaccination center” in hall 8 of the former Parc des Expos will take the turn of opening non-stop, seven days a week, from this Wednesday, April 7.

With the aim of vaccinating 2,000 people per day if the supply of doses allows it.

In order to ensure this rhythm over time, a “pool of 2,000 people” is necessary.

This is why the CHU has been coordinating a vast student recruitment campaign since Friday evening.

Those in health, able to carry out the injections, but also the others, to prepare, guide, reassure.

Prepare doses or repair a computer

These paid jobs based on six-hour shifts (8 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) are flexible, both in terms of the number of days insured and in terms of planning.

“Students must be able to free themselves for exams.

The idea is to give a job to those who are precarious by the health crisis but it is out of the question to hinder their course ”, underlines Julie Oudet, doctor at Samu 31. The coordinator has already validated and transmitted to the HR of the CHU 350 applications since Friday.

The next step for the selected students is to attend the three-hour theoretical training in a lecture hall, then the practical work depending on the position they will occupy on the vaccinodrome.

All profiles are obviously welcome, but tension is already being felt in key tasks: "In particular, we need pharmacy interns for the preparation of doses", specifies Julie Oudet.

A Bac +3 computer savvy would also be particularly valuable because the weekend experiences have shown how a bug, even a small one, can disrupt a well-oiled collective ... Nothing prevents a healthy student from spending a few hours in reception, especially if he speaks several languages.
