Hanover (dpa / lni) - From Wednesday on, people in Lower Saxony can have themselves vaccinated against the corona virus in general practitioners' practices.

As planned by the federal government, it is the turn of people who are particularly at risk first, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lower Saxony Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVN), Mark Barjenbruch.

The practices speak to their vaccinated patients on their own initiative.

"We therefore ask the population to refrain from inquiries in their general practitioners' practices."

The federal government had announced that it would initially supply doctors' practices with around 20 doses of vaccine per week in the first two weeks after Easter.
