This summer, there are no opportunities for schoolchildren to get summer jobs in care, nursing or preschool.
This was the response from a majority of Norrbotten's municipalities to the survey sent out by SVT.
Jokkmokk is one of the municipalities that is having a hard time putting together holiday places during the pandemic year 2021.

Wants to minimize the risk of spreading the infection
However, some municipalities continue to have a job guarantee for certain year courses, including Piteå and Luleå.
- Last summer, Piteå Summergames was canceled and it looks like it will be this summer as well.
But we work at all levels within the municipality to try to find jobs that minimize the risk of infection spreading.
In further municipalities, including Kalix, the collaboration with private companies is being expanded to find new holiday jobs for young people.
