April 05, 2021Patrick George Zaki returns to court for a new one on pre-trial detention.
The 29-year-old student of the University of Bologna has been detained in Egypt, in the Tora prison for over a year.
The lawyers will return to ask for his immediate release.
The researcher, human rights activist, who was following a European master's degree in Bologna, is accused, among other things, of subversive propaganda and incitement to terrorism on the basis of some posts on Facebook from an account that according to his lawyers is not his own.
He faces 25 years in prison.

There is the feeling of an unpredictability of the decisions by the Egyptian judiciary and there is the expectation, as always, to know the outcome that as often happens, it will not be contemporary at the end of the audience.
