The now-disgraced
Prince Hamza of Jordan
was once the pretty boy of the royal family of this Arab country.
Born in 1980, the eldest son of the remembered King Hussein and his fourth wife, the beautiful Noor, became the king's favorite.
To the point that, before passing away, he was in charge of arranging everything so that Hamzah became the heir to the throne, behind his half-brother Abdullah, the current Hashemi monarch.
As is known, he did not accept the dynastic will of his father and as soon as he could he
changed the rules so that his eldest son was invested as crown prince of the kingdom
.
Hamza has been married twice.
The first time, at the end of May 2004, a few days after the royal wedding between the then Prince of Asturias,

and the one who was no longer a journalist
Letizia Ortiz,
took place in Madrid
.
And, in fact, Prince Hamza's fabulous marriage in Amman was the first event that Doña Letizia attended as Princess of Asturias consort.
That was
his official debut and his international debut
in a role in which, as we now know, it would take him several years to start feeling comfortable.
Relations between the Hashemite royal family and the Spanish dynasty are extremely close.
In this case, they are not the result only of the good harmony that Don Juan Carlos was carving out little by little with almost all the Arab monarchies.
Doña Sofía
has had in Queen Noor and in some other princesses of this royal House some of her best friends.
It was not surprising, therefore, that the wedding of Hamza with his cousin Princess Noor was attended from Madrid by Queen Sofia, Princess
Irene of Greece
, the Princes of Asturias and
Infanta Cristina
.
An important landing with which precisely that enormous friendship between dynasties was evidenced.
Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, after saying yes I do in the Almudena Cathedral, they went on a
small tour of various Spanish cities

And then they flew to Jordan for the state liaison.
After participating in it, they already enjoyed in a private way several days in
Aqaba

Petra.
And then they started their fabulous honeymoon.
The royal wedding day brought together a large representation of members of international royalty, such as the then princes

The prince, already stripped of his rank as heir to the throne,
remarried in January 2012

Basma Bani
, a Canadian of Jordanian descent.
In this case it was a much more intimate ceremony, presided over by Kings Abdullah and
Rania
of Jordan, with the presence of the proud mother, Queen Noor.
