Zöberitz (dpa / sa) - A 37-year-old man rioted at a train station in Zöberitz (Saalekreis) and triggered an emergency braking of an ICE.

The man threw stones on trains and a concrete garbage can in the track area, the police said on Monday.

When an ICE hit the garbage can, an automatic emergency braking was triggered.

Nobody was injured when braking.

According to the police, the train was undamaged.

The man was clearly intoxicated, but did not take an alcohol test, it was said on request.

The police officers who were called to the incident on Saturday then identified the suspect and handcuffed him because of his aggressive behavior.

According to the police, he insulted several officers in the police station and shouted right-wing extremist slogans.

The police also found that the man was wearing an earring with a swastika on it.

The earring was secured.

A whole litany of criminal charges awaits the man: property damage, dangerous interference in rail traffic, resistance to law enforcement officers, insults and the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations.
