The restaurateurs and hoteliers in Augustusburg (Saxony) are in luck.

While the majority of their colleagues in the country are forced to remain closed, they were able to reopen to the public on April 1, despite a

difficult health situation

.

Customers can therefore sleep at the hotel and go to the restaurant on condition of presenting a negative antigen test, carried out in a center specially installed by the city.

Armed with their QR code, they can enjoy the terraces and indoor rooms.

Jörg Hammer runs a restaurant with a capacity of over 300 seats at the foot of a toboggan run.

He is delighted with this formula.

“

It works very well,” he

says.

People are very happy and with this organization, it's not crowded.

Distances must be respected and the mask must be worn off the table.

I can accommodate up to 80% of the restaurant's capacity, as I have had plexiglass placed between the tables.

"

Other municipalities would have liked to follow the example of Augustusburg.

This is the case with Oberwiesenthal, also located in Saxony.

At the last minute, the authorities withdrew their agreement, which was too dangerous in their eyes.
