Regensburg (AP) - FC Erzgebirge Aue has stopped its negative trend in the away games of the 2nd Bundesliga.

After four consecutive defeats, coach Dirk Schuster's team fought 1-1 (0-1) at SSV Jahn Regensburg on Easter Sunday.

Jann George gave Regensburg an early lead three days before the cup quarter-finals against Bremen (5th minute), Sören Gonther managed to equalize late (85th).

After a corona quarantine had thrown Jahn out of step, the Regensburg residents were in better shape again.

The international break had obviously done the hosts good.

The perfect start through the George gate after a fine pass from Andreas Albers gave further confidence.

The only drawback: Several chances to make it 2-0 were missed, the Aue almost punished with the equalizer shortly before the half-time whistle.

After the break, things were less aggressive than before the break.

Many fouls, interruptions and discussions shaped the intense game in which Aue equalized by Gonther after the preparatory work by Pascal Testroet.
