Warendorf (dpa / lnw) - A house fire in Warendorf in the Münster district resulted in property damage of around 200,000 euros.
A carport had caught fire for unknown reasons, as the police announced on Saturday evening.
The flames would have spread to the adjacent house and damaged the building.
According to the police, a vehicle parked under the carport burned down completely.
The heat that resulted from the fire on Saturday afternoon is also said to have caused damage to a neighboring house.
The residents of the house were able to get to safety in time and were unharmed, it said.
The police have opened an investigation into the cause of fire.
