Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - In Saarland, 104 new corona infections were registered within one day.
The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 1721 people were demonstrably infected with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen (as of 4:00 p.m.).
There was no new death.
The number of deaths in connection with Covid-19 remains at 941. The incidence, i.e. the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days, increased to 88.2.
On Saturday it was 82.1, on Friday it was 91.1.
151 corona patients are currently being treated in the hospital, 48 of them in an intensive care unit.
Since the pandemic began around a year ago, 32,421 corona cases have been registered in Saarland.
The basis for the data is the figures that the district health authorities have communicated to the Ministry of Health by 4 p.m.

The Robert Koch Institute pointed out that fewer tests and fewer data are usually reported on the Easter holidays.
