In China, the National Health Committee announced yesterday that the Chinese mainland recorded 26 new cases of "Covid-19" on April 2, up from nine the previous day, while officials in the southwest of the country linked a local outbreak with Myanmar.

In Dhaka, the Minister of Land Transport in Bangladesh, Obaid Al-Qadir, said yesterday that the government decided to implement a seven-day lockdown, starting tomorrow, Monday, while injuries and deaths increased across the country.

Meanwhile, data from Johns Hopkins University and the "Bloomberg" news agency revealed, yesterday, that 628.9 million doses of a vaccine against "Covid-19" have been administered worldwide so far.
