Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - In Hesse, applications for funding from the School Digital Pact are increasingly being approved.

At the end of February, the sum totaled 60.5 million euros, the Ministry of Culture announced at the request of the German Press Agency in Wiesbaden.

This is an increase of eleven million euros in approvals compared to the previous month and corresponds to a share of more than twelve percent of the total available funds.

The amount paid out is 4.6 million euros.

According to the information, further measures are about to be concluded.

The digital pact came into force in May 2019.

Through the funding program, the federal government is making five billion euros available to schools for investments in digital boards (smartboards), school WiFi, online learning platforms and mobile devices.
