Whether it is the GERB that takes the lead or another party, alliances will be necessary, explains sociologist Boriana Dimitrova.

We can expect to have a very fragmented National Assembly with five and up to seven parties in Parliament,

For the moment, the GERB sees itself victorious, but it is not at all certain that it will succeed in forming a government.

Boiko Borissov is no novice in the field.

During his last three terms he was forced into many combinations of alliances to form a majority.
