In the first external reaction, the Saudi Royal Court said that Riyadh supports all measures to maintain security and stability in Jordan, and defuse every attempt to influence them.
The Royal Court affirmed that Saudi Arabia, with all its capabilities, supports all decisions taken by King Abdullah II and his Crown Prince, indicating that the two countries are linked by close relations, and that their security is indivisible.
In turn, the State of Qatar expressed its full solidarity and standing with the Kingdom of Jordan, and its full support for the decisions and procedures issued by King Abdullah II to maintain security and stability.
In a statement today, the State of Qatar affirmed that the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an integral part of its security and stability, and stressed that the developed strategic relations between the two brotherly countries will remain an honest and strong guard against any attempts to undermine security and stability in the two countries and the region.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry also confirmed its stand with Jordan and its support for the measures taken by King Abdullah and his Crown Prince to maintain security and stability.
For its part, the US State Department said that King Abdullah II of Jordan is a "major partner" of the United States and "we fully support him."
The US State Department confirmed that it closely follows reports on the situation in Jordan and is communicating with officials.
Jordan security
The Gulf Cooperation Council affirmed its stand with the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its support for all measures it takes to maintain security and stability in Jordan.
