The epidemic is sudden, and to win this battle against the epidemic, it is the key to find out the number of infected people to the maximum.

On March 31, Ruili launched a nucleic acid testing and sampling operation for all employees in the urban area.

With support from all parties in need, Yunnan Province mobilized medical staff from the surrounding counties and cities of Ruili City and the city to form 16 sampling teams of 1,877 people, and set up 419 fixed sampling points and 6 flow control sampling points in the city.

“We received a notice to support Ruili late at night on the 30th and immediately assembled and set off.” Zhao Shixing, a doctor at the Maternity and Child Health Hospital of Eryuan County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, told reporters at a nucleic acid test site that they rushed late at night and arrived in Ruili early on the 31st. Since the outbreak of new crown pneumonia in 2020 and the rapid spread of the world, Ruili, located on the border between China and Myanmar, has been under great pressure to prevent and control the import of overseas epidemics.

Beginning in April last year, Ruili set up a duty point on the border, and put people on duty at the front line throughout the day. It has been up to one year.

On the 2nd, the reporter was interviewing at a duty station in Hunban Village, Wanding Town, on the front line of the China-Myanmar border, and met a women's group composed of many people including Man Ying, a local Dai villager.

They have sent cold rice noodles and foreign rice to the guards on many occasions.

Man Ying told reporters that the villagers were responsible for raising the money for the food. Today they brought 200 copies of Yang rice each with cold rice noodles and Yang rice and sent them to more than 100 prevention and control points.

"Long guarding the side, they are too hard. It's cold at night, but hot during the day. Give a bowl of cold rice noodles and foreign rice to those who protect us."

In the early morning of the 2nd, the reporter came to the border control point at the Helong Ferry in Mangling Village, Ruili.

As soon as I got off the bus, my eyes were on a small vegetable garden. A small sign was erected on the edge of the garden, and the words "Shoubian Small Vegetable Garden" were clearly visible.

On duty, Shang Xingbo said, “This is far from the city, so we grow some vegetables ourselves, and we also raise chickens and geese, so we are self-sufficient.”

He is a local public official from Ruili.

On duty at the border at night, he returned to his post during the day.

Currently, the pressure of overseas epidemic input continues to increase. Ruili has further strengthened border control. A total of 655 duty points have been set up on the border. More than 7,400 party, government, military, police and civilian forces have been put on duty throughout the day.

"A bottle of mineral water, a meager contribution"

In the old courtyard of the Dai Medical Hospital of Ruili City, a vaccination spot is set up here.

On the 3rd, there was a long queue here.

A small shop near the vaccination site carried several mineral spring books to the street, and posted the words "Free water for vaccinated people".

The owner, Yao Yulian, said that an epidemic occurred in Ruili in September 2020. At that time, the Ruili Traditional Chinese Medicine Dai Medical Hospital was one of the nucleic acid testing sites. Seeing people queuing under the scorching sun, she opened the closed store and provided people with free mineral water.

She said that this epidemic is free again. After sending 20 pieces on the 2nd, we will replenish the goods urgently today. It is expected that 40 pieces will be sent.

"Lack of Burmese translation, Ruili needs us"

Sanmei Duan's family runs a jade and jadeite shop in Ruili and has been dealing with Myanmar suppliers for a long time. She has learned fluent Burmese.

On the 1st, the Secretary of the Ruili Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Gong Yunzun, said in an interview that Ruili needed a Burmese translation. “A large part of the epidemiological investigations are targeted by Burmese. problem."

"Tomorrow's epidemic prevention and control work requires a large number of Burmese translations to the scene. As long as you can speak Burmese, you can scan the code to join. I hope that more translators will participate." On the 2nd, a message of recruiting translators was posted on WeChat. It is widely reposted in the circle of friends and chat groups.

"Lack of Burmese translation, Ruili needs us." After seeing the news, Duan Sanmei immediately signed up as a volunteer. "When I get out of the house, I am afraid, but I want to contribute my own strength to the prevention and control of the epidemic." As far as I know, as of now, 1,546 Burmese translation volunteers have registered online and offline to participate in translation work.
