Lüneburg (dpa / lni) - The zoos and animal parks expect a rush of visitors over the Easter days.
The bird park Walsrode already reported a large number of visitors on the sunny days of this week.
"We had more visitors than forecast," said a spokeswoman for the park.
“It's always a question of the weather.
We suspect that some of them have done this beforehand, after all, it's already a vacation in Lower Saxony. "
Online booking and masks are mandatory.
As a special Easter event, eggs and young animals can be discovered in the baby bird station.
Many eggs have different colors because of their camouflage.
Looking at animals is also allowed in Corona times, but carousel and roller coaster rides are not.
The extensive Serengeti Park on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath is open for day tours, overnight stays are excluded.
Anyone can come spontaneously, the playgrounds are open, prices are reduced.
Online booking is compulsory for the Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park in Nindorf-Hanstedt and Schwarze Berge - popular especially because of its proximity to Hamburg.
A maximum of 1500 people are allowed into the 50 hectare park in Rosengarten at the same time, after a three-hour stay it is over.
The open-air museum on the Kiekeberg in Rosengarten in the Harburg district is closed until further notice according to the new regulation.
Since Thursday, due to the high 7-day incidence in Bremerhaven, the zoo by the sea has also been closed until April 18.
