Washington lifts Trump's sanctions on the International Criminal Court

The US government of Joe Biden on Friday lifted sanctions against judges and staff of the International Criminal Court (ICC) imposed by Donald Trump. U.S. Foreign Minister Antony Blinken said in a statement that the United States continued to oppose the court's willingness to investigate Afghanistan or Israel, but added that Washington wanted discuss these cases “through dialogue with all the players in the process in connection with the ICC rather than through the imposition of sanctions.
