Miami (AP) - The Italian Jannik Sinner was the first player to reach the final of the tennis tournament in Miami.

The 19-year-old prevailed after 2:28 minutes against the favored Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut with 5: 7, 6: 4, 6: 4.

In the final, the world number 31 will face the winner of the match between number four Russian Andrej Rublev and Poland's Hubert Hurkacz.

The top stars Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer had canceled the Masters tournament for various reasons.

Defending champion Ashleigh Barty from Australia and Canadian Bianca Andreescu will contest the women's final.

The former US Open winner Andreescu had narrowly defeated Maria Sakkari from Greece 7: 6 (9: 7), 3: 6, 7: 6 (7: 4).
