Augsburg (dpa / lby) - FC Augsburg will have to do without striker Florian Niederlechner in the Bundesliga home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky).

The 30-year-old has groin problems and is therefore out.

One wants to try to get him fit again for the guest appearance a week later at FC Schalke 04, said coach Heiko Herrlich on Friday.

The national players Ruben Vargas (Switzerland), Michael Gregoritsch (Austria) and Laszlo Benes (Slovakia), who were released during the international break, have all returned healthy.

The Augsburgers have lost their last five home games against Hoffenheim and want to end this series.

In the table, the FCA is one point behind the opponent.

"Our goal must be to overtake Hoffenheim here," announced Herrlich.

On the offensive, Alfred Finnbogason could become an alternative again in the next few weeks, who like Jan Moravek made his comeback in a test during the international break.
