The incident is said to have taken place on a side street to the Capitolium.
According to unconfirmed police sources, one of the police officers is very seriously injured, reports ABC News
The Capitolium Congress Building and adjacent buildings were shut down in connection with the incident.
In photos from the site, you can see that several streets are closed and that there is a large police raid on the site.
