Beierfeld (dpa / sn) - In Aue, two men were arrested after a chase with the police.
According to the Chemnitz Police Department, the officers wanted to stop the two men for a routine check in Beierfeld on Wednesday.
But instead of obeying the stop signal, the driver stepped on the accelerator.
So there was a chase that led to Aue.
The two men stopped their van there and hid themselves behind a container.
However, after hearing a witness, they were picked up by the officers and arrested.
The two 38-year-olds had crossed several intersections at red on their escape and had driven far too fast.
They also ran into a second patrol car that tried to cut them off.
A small amount of crystal was found during the vehicle search.

Both men are now being investigated, among other things, for endangering road traffic and violating the Narcotics Act.
The police are looking for people who have been harmed by the chase or who can provide information about which of the two suspects was the driver.
